Certified nurse midwife, Miriam Alvarez, grew up in Yuma and graduated from Cibola High School. She has dedicated her nursing career to helping Yuma-area women enhance their reproductive health and the birthing experience. After earning her associates degree in nursing, she began working in Onvida Health’s Labor and Delivery department as a registered nurse. Miriam completed her BSN degree at Grand Canyon University before continuing her education at the Frontier School of Midwifery. There she qualified to become a nurse midwife by earning a Master of Science in Nursing and completing the Nurse Midwifery Certification program.
Cuando no está atendiendo a pacientes, Miriam disfruta pasando tiempo con su familia, especialmente participando en las actividades 4H de sus hijos. También le gusta pintar, ir al río y conducir todoterrenos.
