Onvida Health is a 406-bed community hospital located in Yuma County, which serves over 200,000 people and covers an expansive area. Onvida Health Outpatient Behavioral Health offers compassionate, professional care for those experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges affecting their daily lives. Our expert psychiatrist provides comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. We specialize in managing a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions, helping individuals regain stability and improve their overall well-being. With a supportive approach and evidence-based treatments, we are committed to guiding patients toward better mental health in a safe and welcoming environment.

About the Administrative Fellowship Program

This isn’t your typical observe-and-shadow fellowship. You’ll rotate through different areas, lead real projects and have a seat at the leadership table from day one.

Your year with us includes:

  • Direct mentorship from our Chief Operating Officer and senior leaders
  • Rotations tailored to your interests and goals
  • Leading projects that get implemented
  • Attending board meetings and leadership retreats
  • Building relationships across the organization

The best part? We design your experience together. Your goals shape your fellowship.

Education:

  • Masters in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
  • (Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education) CAHME accredited program preferred
  • Recent grads and those with 1+ years experience welcome

Skills that matter:

  • You understand healthcare basics: operations, quality, patient experience, reimbursement
  • You can work with anyone from physicians to community partners
  • You’re comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Bonus points for Project, Visio or process improvement training (Lean, Six Sigma)

Experience that helps:

  • Healthcare internships
  • Progressive management experience
  • Any time spent in hospitals, clinics or healthcare settings

Your application should include:

  • Personal statement (1 page max): Where do you see this fellowship taking you? What kind of leader do you want to become?

    • One from a professor who knows your potential
    • One from a professional mentor or supervisor
    • One of your choice, someone who sees your spark
  • Transcript: An unofficial copy is fine to start. We’ll request an official one if you’re selected.
