Clinical Rotations
The Southwest Health Education Collaborative provides a number of different educational experiences for students and volunteers across many specialties. Our priority is to work with students interested in serving rural and underserved communities.
We provide comprehensive services including primary care, specialty care, behavioral health, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and other essential healthcare services to the rural and medically-underserved communities of Western Arizona.
Students with a serious desire for exploring opportunities offering services to underserved populations are encouraged to apply for a clinical rotation by filling out an online application below.
We currently support the following rotations/professions. Please note that not every SHEC site provides all of these opportunities:
- Primary Care
- Women’s Health
- Behavioral Health
- Physical Therapy
- Pharmacy
After careful review, students are evaluated against selection criteria and ranked according to available rotation slots. If the applicant is accepted, they will receive notification and be asked to follow SHEC program procedures.
