I choose a holistic approach with my patients. I’m not treating just a diagnosis. I am treating an individual. Each patient has a family, friends, and their community. I address their behavioral health needs while incorporating their individual psychosocial dynamics that need to be addressed such as family nuances, religion and culture.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Gina Botello, PMHNP-BC, attends to patients living with depression, anxiety-related conditions, phobias, ADHD, addiction, PTSD, eating disorders and many other behavioral health conditions.
Gina started her career working as a registered nurse in nearby Imperial County, CA. She also previously worked at Onvida Health as a registered nurse. After completing graduate school, she worked in San Luis, AZ and Somerton, AZ as a family nurse practitioner. Gina joins Onvida Health after completing additional training in advanced practice psychiatric nursing.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, AZ. Gina completed her post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner degree.
When she is not caring for patients, Gina enjoys backpacking, paddleboarding, traveling, hiking and volunteering with the Salvation Army and Global Medical Brigades.
