Education & Professional Highlights

Sharlene Sy, M.D., earned her medical degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu City, Philippines. She completed her first pediatrics residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines, followed by a second pediatrics residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Flushing, NY. She then went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, NY. Dr. Sy is board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible in Pediatric Infectious Disease.

Dr. Sy’s clinical interests include asthma, autism and pediatric infectious diseases. Her approach to patient care is family-centered, evidence-based and relationship driven. She wants families to feel heard, supported and confident and for each child to receive safe, effective and compassionate care.

In her free time, Dr. Sy enjoys gardening, hiking, reading, billiards and baking.
