Rooted in the Community.

Giving to make a difference.

Yuma County is where we live and care for our friends and neighbors. One of the ways we help build a healthier tomorrow is by supporting programs and organizations that make our community a better place to live, work and grow.

The information below will help you understand our funding priorities, eligibility criteria and how to apply for support. We invite you to explore how your organization’s mission aligns with ours — and how, together, we can build a healthier tomorrow for our community.

Funding Source

Donations and sponsorships are funded through Onvida Health’s operating budget and are awarded to non-profit organizations for initiatives that directly address defined community health needs or expand pathways for meaningful community connection. The Community Relations department will evaluate each application based on alignment with guidelines and strategic priorities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Requests must clearly demonstrate how the proposed activity or service addresses one or more of Onvida Health’s identified community health needs. Priority is given to initiatives that improve access to health services, advance public health, enhance general health knowledge, and reduce the burden on government to improve health. The connection between health needs and the activity or service must be clearly stated in the application. Organizations that address one or more of our identified community health needs will be given greater consideration.
  • Only 501c3 or 501c6 organizations are eligible to apply.
  • Geographic Focus: Services must be available to residents of Yuma County and/or the surrounding area. Applications should focus on projects, programs, and activities supported by funds raised and distributed within Yuma County. A detailed explanation of how funds will be used is required.
  • 100% of the money contributed by Onvida Health is to stay within our local community.
  • To avoid duplication, requests from national organizations should be coordinated between the regional and county affiliated offices within Yuma County.
  • Provide positive visibility for our organization.
  • Applications must demonstrate a commitment to provide services regardless of race, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin.
  • If the organization intends to submit multiple requests in a one-year period, please submit all requests individually but in the same package, at the same time, so we can best determine the request that fits our purpose and health improvement goals.
